It was a rainy day and had nothing to do but to eat, drink coffee and kill time in Beanstalk cafe. My friend and I decided to find somewhere we could escape the boredom through the internet. We learned about BenCab Museum and that it's open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. except Mondays. We decided to grab a taxi cab right away to take us there.
We paid an entrance fee of Php 100 per person to enter the premises. They've got discounts for senior citizens and students.
The BenCab Museum is on Asin Road, in an area known as Km. 6, Tadiangan, Tuba, Benguet, which simply means its six kilometers from the center of Baguio City.
There's a museum shop where visitors could buy souvenirs and gifts from the museum.
The museum is composed of several galleries that house the permanent collection of Philippine National Artist Benedicto Cabrera (BenCab), his paintings, his collections of indigenous Cordillera art and the works of Filipino masters and contemporary artists.
The different areas of the museum are the BenCab Gallery, Cordillera Gallery, Erotica Gallery, Sepia Gallery, Philippine Contemporary Art Gallery 1, Philippine Contemporary Art Gallery 2, Maestro Gallery, Print Gallery, Patio Salvador and Larawan Hall.
I love nature and I was overwhelmed to see a very nice view of the pond overlooking the mountains.
